The Glee of Me

When asked by a friend

to tell her of me

beyond the life allowed to see

In matter of fact tone

and resolute as can be

I affirm, I am silly

with confidence and glee

That is who I am

just silly as can be,

drunk on the life that was given to me

Now there is a serious side
